Well what can I say,I love it.I mated it to a Savage 110 FLP,in.308 cal.,and shot 20 rounds into 2.5 inches at 100 yards with a cheep(Leapers) scope, some rain, and a damb fine hang over(A friend took me to his moms cabin and we hit the town the night befor.).As to the artical in sniper contry. The weaght for the weapon was about 12 LBs(no prob.I'm a M-16/203 touten former Marine.),and a littel sand paper to the grips+forarm(also to the USSP.-I dont do ads for anyone.),a couple of coats of paint and I have no complaints.I can't wait to take out it(sober -ha,ha.)again.Let ya know how I do.

I wonder if it's just something about us Savage shooters - I put a USS Plaster on my Savage 12FV .223 and I think it's the "cat's meow". I stuck a Simmons Mag 44 scope on it and so far, it's deadly (MOA or less) out to 120 yards. I haven't gotten to a longer range yet, but I have great expectations. ;)

To really do it right, you need to do a skim coat bedding job, with Acraglass, Steelglass or even Devcon, everything from just in front of the trigger up to the front of the receiver. The bedding block is okay, but you'll relieve a lot of stress with a bedding job on top of it.
