The USP Trigger Eats Big Donkey Dong

I have a full sized USP .45 and I hate the trigger. Does anyone know if I can exchange the trigger for that of the USP "Tactical" or "Expert"? Can I contact H&K, send my gun in and have them change the trigger? If so, what do they charge, if not, are there after market services?

Yes, it can be added. According to the HK 2000 Price List, the Match parts trigger package is available for all USP .45s. The price is $96, and the part number is 216169. HK says it "must be installed by a competent gunsmith." HK can do it for you, though I don't know the charge. However, given that UPS and FedEx require next day air shipment for handguns, shipping costs might be higher than labor charges. I'd try to find a local gunsmith.

Postman,

I sent my USP 45F to HK back in December for installation of the Match trigger group. The cost was $96.00 for the parts and installation. There was an additional charge of $21.00 for next day shipping return to me.

It was worth every cent! :) I am very very happy with the new trigger and it makes the USP even more fun to shoot than ever. Larry over at CCF is supposed to get in some German made Tactical drop in barrels with the O-ring for the USP next week. That will probably be the next goodie to play with.

Hope that helps,
Evan.

Hey!

I am with you but with one critical difference: I think the USP Trigger BLOWS big donkey dong.

I went for the match trigger yesterday. It was 95$ from my local gunsmith who is an authorized HK repair facility (thereby saving my waranty from HK). They charged me $45 to install it for a total of $140 + tax on my trigger.

Thats more expensive than others have said, but I get it back in one business day and they are five minutes from my house so if I ever have a problem with it I can bitch at them.

Is that worth the extra cost? You decide... it was for me.

I have fired a match USP and I loved the trigger (compared to the USP45f, whats not to love???). So I went for the trigger group. I am still pissed off tho that HK doesnt put that trigger in stock. Whats the big deal? Make a friggin' trigger that is worthy of the $$$$$ that you pay for a premium handgun!

Oh well....

As usual, YMMV, FWIW, IMHO etc....
