Hey guys, just wanted to share some pics of the toy gun i made for my eight yr old son. It is made of cardboard, crayon, marker, tape, a few staples, and a pencil. It has undead industries zombie buster 1 on one side of the barrel and .44 magnum ( a good zombie killin' round if you ask me! ) on the other side of the arrel. it has his initials on one side of the grip and his last initial on the other side of the grip. the cylinder spins( barely) and it has a removable compensator. anyone else make stuff like this for their kids? think smith and wesson/ruger have anything to worry about?!;):)

I've made a gun or two out of wood. I don't want the boy playing with anything that looks too much like a real gun.
Plus making things breeds more creativity than just buying something at a store. Excellent job.

You didn't make this for your kid did ya?

Aarond

well.... ok, ya got me! but he can use it too!! :D;) thanks dayman. i completly understand your point about looking too real. thank God for nerf! THOSE things would never be mistaken for a real gun, those things are so colorful they glow in the dark! matter of fact, i think a few of them ACTUALLY DO!!

My dad used to make toy guns out of wood for my brother and I. Sometimes they shot rubberbands. Never any revolvers but the side-by-side double barrel rubberband shooter was always a favorite:cool:

every now and then ill see a guy trying to sell something like that at a gun show.

HAHA!! Hey, i wonder if i could do that?! naw, my son would stop speaking to me!

im sure weve all been amazed by some of the stuff for sale at the gun show that people try and pass off on other people. every time i go i always spot a few "jokes" hey maybe we could start another thread on that "gunshow jokes" the horrible travesties at gun shows. anyways i like the creativity, looks like stuff we played with as young kids.
