The true truth about the absentee "votes"

Why doesn't the "media" tell us the "facts"? ? ?

Now, as noted by The Federalist last week, Gore's best shot at stealing this election depends on a reversal of strategy. Previously, his mantra has been "Count all the votes [in Democrat counties]!" (Except, of course, those military ballots....) The new mantra is "Don't count all the votes [in Republican counties]!" Gore is now anxiously awaiting a judge's ruling on a suit to disqualify 15,000
absentee ballots in largely Republican Seminole County -- which would give Gore a 4,800 vote lead in Florida.

According to election-law scholar Daniel Lowenstein, a computer error caused the voter ID numbers to be omitted on some ballot applications sent to Republicans. This error was later corrected by hand when those application requests were returned -- not on the ballots themselves.

Gore told CBS, "Apparently the Republican supervisor of elections threw out all the Democratic ballot applications that were missing this number they're talking about, but let the Republican Party workers with their computers come right into the courthouse [and correct the] Republican applications. ... That certainly doesn't seem fair to me."

Another of Gore's infamous lies.... There were no errors on Democrat applications. The mistakes occurred only on the Republican applications. As the error corrected was not on ballot itself, we believe that Judge Sauls's ruling in the previous case applies: "There was no illegality, dishonesty, gross negligence, improper influence,
coercion or fraud in the balloting and counting processes."

So, as it stands, we are waiting on the Seminole County decision Wednesday, and the Florida Supreme Court's scramble to save face shortly thereafter.>>>>>>

You're close on the new mantra. Big Al framed it yesterday in a press conference. "Look, we've always said that we need to count all the votes, that were legally cast".

Spin angle: "If we can throw out 15,000 Republican votes, we're not doing an about face. They were not legally cast"

There is an old saying by Will Rogers that fits this.... Just how dumb you are depends on which side of the country you are standing at the time.

People did not think character mattered . . .

with Bill Clinton, and the media, apparently, still believes this. If Gore is dishonest about this Seminole issue, he will be dishonest when it suits him as President.

I watched Brit Hume on FoxNews last night talk about how algore is talking out of both sides of his mouth regarding counting ALL the votes. Not a big surprise as Fox is by far the most fair in their reporting.

This morning I was shocked! I saw the same type of report on NBC's Today Show. They told the story about how algore is backing the lawsuit that aims to disqualify 15,000 Republican votes. The next scene was algore's press conference where he says that they should count ALL the votes.

The reporter even drew attention to these conflicting statements and speculated that 'bert really can't have it both ways.

Could the mainstream media actually say something non-complimentary about algore?
