I keep having this horriable feeling that in 2 days that Al Bore will win this election. Now me and everyone I know are voting Bush all the way. I just feel like all the same people who voted for Clinton will vote for Bore. I hope to god Gore does not win this election. Guys this election is extremly close from what I have seen. Someone please boost my hopes. Yesterday I saw Bore while managing to hold my lunch down :( So he says "not one of my proposals affect hunters or sportsman or law abiding home owners" Note that last one about home owners. It was like he had to force it out of his mouth like some kind of obcenity. I think he will ban handguns and say see I haven't affected hunters or sportsman. Then he'll say well you don't have to go out and shoot your guns,it's not really a "sport". Oh and then he'll say well you don't have to hunt it's not civilized,go to the market if you want to eat meat and buy some. Am I to far off here guys. Sorry for the rant but I'am upset over all this how the hell did it get to this point anyway?
Thanks,45automan

Gore does scare me, but he will not be President. They can hammer away about how close the polls are all they want, but here's what I see:

1. Polls are close, but still show slight lead in popular vote for Bush, especially among likely voters.

2. The Gore campaign has access to info we don't, right? Well, they're throwing their hail mary with the DUI thing. They KNEW it would probably not do much against GWB, which is why they held it in reserve for so long. They still know it won't save them, but at this point, they figure they have nothing to lose. That's good. It suggests that the Gore campaign, regardless of what you hear in the media, has good reason to think they're losing, maybe badly.

There's more than the gun issue that scares me about algore.
I work in the power industry, hear about a lot of "proposed" regulations most people don't hear about.

Gore is the culmination of 50+ years of liberal ideology, hopes, and dreams. Gore himself is suffering pathologies of his own. Clinton knows when he lies, Gore just lies them proceeds to believe the lie he just told. Add to the stew, Gore being a Radical environmentalist (R is intended). He does not believe it for political purposes, he believe it because he believes it. Carbon tax is inevitable, further reduction in domestic petroleum production, and severe restrictions on internal combustion engines all add up to some seriously screwed up policies.

God help us if Gore is the winner. We as a nation will richly deserve everything coming our way. We knew Clinton was bad news in '92, confirmed he was worse news in '96, and proceeded to give him a pass in '98; then we correct our mistakes by electing his lapdog in 2000. If it happens we did it and deserve it!

Don: Hail Mary? Nah, I'm betting that this was just a warmup swing, to keep Bush off message; The real dirt, assuming they have any, (And they just might make it up, if they don't.) will come tommorrow, when there's no time for Bush to recover.

The thought of Al Gore is more than frightening. I do wonder, though, about the depth of his support. Yesterday, I was working the phone bank for Bush, and was actually able to convince a Gore voter to go for Bush. On another call, I had a 70 year old woman who was going to vote for Gore, and I think I brought her to the point of not being able to make up her mind. It may well be that Gore could lose in precincts where it's raining.

Monkeyleg,

And you are proud of conning a 70 year old women? That's pretty low.

You won't find this funny, but many of us on the left side of spectrum (myself not included) feel the same way about a Bush presidency. For different reasons, of course. BTW I've posted this 3 times now, but Bush is going to win in a landslide. Remember the Reagan landslide? Polls showed a neck and neck race before election day.

gore scares the hell out a me.....

EVERYONE GET OUT AND VOTE NOV 7

Bush is my vote , cause he's the only one to keep gore out!

"Add to the stew, Gore being a Radical environmentalist (R is intended). He does not believe it for political purposes, he believe it because he believes it."

Wow, someone who believes in an idea for its own merit and not as a means for political gain ! I have to disagree and say that's pretty admirable.

While Gore's enviromental agenda is lacking in solution, at least it addresses the problem rather than keeping it in the dark like Republicans. Why are so many conservatives duped into believing the "Pollution is a Myth" and other theories posited by Republican beaurocrats protecting their corporate interests ? I mean, if you had shares in an oil company or a serious industrial polluter I would understand, otherwise you look like the pawn that you are, cleverly played by a select few with no other concern than their financial gain.

Yet again, another reason I didn't vote for Bush. Just as my gun rights are dwindling, so are the various places in the "Great Outdoors" where I used to use them. Hmm, better go outside to cool off and get a lungfull of smog while I'm at it.

I swear, I told EVERYONE in '92 that Clinton was a Trojan Horse. No one believed me then. When Monica came out of the grubhole everyone smacked their foreheads and said they wish they'd listened to me back then.

Al Bore will NOT win. The universe cannot be that messed up. Thank God for Nader bleeding away those Dem votes.

I'm usually for the Democrats, but I feel they've disgraced themselves for the last 8 years well enough. Let's try Bush. Better a cocksure President to atone for the memory of the one who can't keep it in the pants, or remember the facts.

So why can't we have Charleton Heston as president!?

I wouldn't say he conned her, he showed her the light as best he could. The fact that she wasn't very bright led to her being confused.

How do I know she wasn't very bright? Because she planned to vote for that SOB Gore.

Fellow Posters, I know there are differing views, left v.s. right.
That said, as gunowners, and believers in the Const & BOR's, would you please tell me, as I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone that post's on gun issue related site, could after 8 years of the most deplorable Presidency in the history of our nation, Actually vote for Al Gore.
Tell me it ain't so!.
Common sense dictates that what we have had in the way of regulatory issues, on firearms, is a walk in the park compared to what we are about to bear witness to if Gore wins.
The man is obsessed with enviro itus, the freedoms we have enjoyed for over 200 years are in dire peril.
When, and if the 2nd A goes down.......ALL the rest mean nothing.........
If there are any others among you thinking about a vote for Gore........please, Stop and THINK........... Rectal defalade, is not communicable.............you can vote Repub ONCE.
For your Freedom and that of your children.........

Listening to Drudge tonight and he has info that the Bush internal polls, which tend to be more acurate than the liberal media, show him ahead in Florida by 5 and also ahead in Cal by 2. I would have to agree with Eric, W in a landslide. TED

The thought of Al jr. being elected has made me loose sleep for more than one night. I am firmly convinced that the next Democratic administration will herald registration and the Democratic admin. after that will enforce confiscation. And, if the Dems. win both the Presidency AND a congressional majority...perish the thought.

We need a Republican administration in order to slow the social hysteria over gun control. Dems. have had their scary say in this area far too long. Now is the time for all Americans to say that we want the blame for societal violence given to the rightful violators: NOT the gun industry, NOT the 90 million legal gun owners of America, NOT the people that desire to protect their family and property with firearms, NOT pistol and Highpower competitors. BLAME IT ON THE CRIMINALS!

No, you're not alone in this fear. Let us pray, brothers and sisters, that we can see real common sense return to the office of the President.
