The things you see up in trees!

Probably sat in the tree and ate then just let the rest drop. Strange thing to see though! On a side note, a 22-250 vs crow will result in something very similar to that.:D;)

Saw a coon up in a tree once. Now, you might not find that part strange. But the durn was carrying my arrow with it. I had to wait till it died to get my arrow back.

Rabbits:
I was runnin up the river and saw something small swimming across. I got up close and it was a rabbit. I didn't know they could swim, much less try and cross a river. I picked him up and helped him on across. Wasn't rabbit hunting that day, pork was on the menu.

i was deer huntin this year and seen two owls flying together thru the woods... was round 3 pm... still very daylight... didnt know they flew around during the day.

It's the aliens again... Oh no... Rabbit mutilations... The cows have been too big to put in trees:eek:

Wait... I've calmed down now... Someone shot it with a 300 Ultramag and blew it into the tree.... Check the meat, it'll be cooked well done...

Sometimes you guys amaze me!

The rabbit was a hawk/eagle/owl kill. It ate the good parts and went home.
Rabbits can swim when required, just not fond of it.
Trees are a 'coons "safe place", they go there often.
Owls will fly during daylight. It's about as common as swimming rabbits.

Few critters are true to their concieved tendencies.
Bears can come out of hibernation in the middle of winter.
Snakes, scorpions and other critters will hunt in daylight.
Wahoo (fish) will bite in shallow water on dead bait at night.

Well,
They always say that the first liar doesn't have a chance. When you hunt long enough, you see some strange things in trees and on the ground. One day while hunting "Tree Rats" something caught my eye in a tree about 12 feet off the the ground. Finally walked over to it and hung up in a the tree, was a fancy RC Plane with about a five foot wing span. Managed to get it down in fairly good shape and later tried to find it's owner to no avail. Finally listed it in the classified and go $100.00 bucks for it. By the way, it was totally out of gas but you could still smell the fuel. :barf:

Be Safe !!!

WOW

That reminds me of the time I was hunting in a stand and a bobcat thought he was going to sit in it with me  Poor little guy got lead poisoning, from the stand I think :D

I had the same thing happen to me too. Funny thing, the out come was the same. Not enough room for me a a bobcat in one tree.
