Not going to happen. 30in is about as short as you are going to get with the stock collapsed.

Sounds like Ruger AR-556, Colt 6920, LWRC IC-DI 556, and Daniel Defense V7 are some good choices at around 32 inches with the stock collapsed.Not going to happen. 30in is about as short as you are going to get with the stock collapsed.

So the ATF requires a minimum OAL of 26” which makes me curious how this applies to an AR due to the adjustable stock. Does it mean that with the stock fully collapsed it must be at least 26” OAL?What are the shortest AR-15s that meet these two criteria:
- Must have a barrel that is 16 inches or longer, and
- Must have an overall length of less than 26 inches?
keep in mind, Colt, Wilson Combat, and a few others, have "sear blocks" in their lower receivers. basically they leave extra metal in places to make it hard to install an machine gun parts which would make the gun full auto. This can interfere with some aftermarket cassette type triggers.

AR upper receivers are too long to get you sub-26" and still have a fireable/functional firearm and a fixed stock.
The only usable exceptions are bufferless systems, like the CMMG Dissent. But then you have to argue whether those are still AR15s, or they're AR180 derivatives.
You still have to have it configured as a pistol, unless your OAL measurement is acceptable with the stock folded.

Just about every single one that has a 16in barrel and a collapsing/adjustable stock. With most the last 2 stock positions adjust to the a1 and a2 length of pull. Just remove the muzzle device and you’ll get pretty close to 26”.
