The season has begun....

...in earnest for the "Snowbirds" here in Florida. Why is that important you ask? It signals that the humidity is dropping and shooting Black Powder gets to be more fun!!! With the high humidity during the summer months (actually during the hurricane season) handling and shooting BP can be a real chore. If you have ever experienced having a drop of sweat drop off your brow into the cyclinder you just dumped powder into you will know what I'm talking about! Having the Snowbirds show up might mean the shooting ranges and golf courses get more crowded, but what the hay, couple of rounds or so of BP smoke will drive them away.:) Took four C&Bs out yesterday, fired 200 rounds, and came home a very happy shooter.:D
 
Was there anyone left at the range, by the time you were through?
There's a devout BP deer hunter that should be showing up at our local range any time, now.
And he likes really hefty loads to practice with.
We take bets as to how long it takes for folks to clear out when he starts shooting.
Ahh, the smell of sulfur in the morning.......
