The Randy Davis Elect Al Gore Campaign

I've just exchanged e-mails with Dennis, the administrator here, over remarks I made on one of Randy Davis's Bush-bashing threads. I had suggested that Randy's motives in refusing to acknowledge any of the points that contradicted his rant that Bush needs to be punished for being Bush, and for starting thread after thread based on this theme, as being either stupid or dishonorable (in that a defection from Bush could only help Gore). Dennis reminded me that it's not gentlemanly to attack a poster personally. I wholeheartedly agree, but we're in a life and death struggle here, folks. It's time to take off the gloves. I include my response to Dennis:

Dennis - Points well taken. Politics -- especially political discussions -- normally bore me stiff. But this presidential election is way too important to our cause for us to enjoy the luxury of ideological purism by seeking the perfect candidate -- at this point, anyway. I voted for Alan Keyes in the Virginia primary, and would again in any forum where contributing to a show of strength can influence frontrunner positions. What bothers me about Randy is his persistent denigration of Bush despite the very temperate, calmly reasoned arguments by others on this thread that such a tack is near-sighted and, therefore, dangerous. The guy is like a tape-loop. Such stubbornness in the present context can only spring from a seriously flawed data base or from an agenda that is precisely opposed to the RKBA. I used the words "stupidity" and "dishonorable" not as pejoratives, but to accurately describe what I think is involved. But, since one tape loop on a thread is more than enuf, I'll drop out of this particular discussion. Thanx for the feedback. - Clark

Clark,

I know how you feel... What bothers me more than a couple of Bush bashers on this forum from time to time (& they seem to bother me a lot ;) ), is big time radio personalities pushing for a big Libertarian turn out this fall. This morning Neal Boortz has been saying that he is going to vote for Browne and he is encouraging everyone else to to the same.

Since they obviously don't like this debate on this forum, let's all start sending e-mail to Boortz and others like him and educate them on the fact the Second Amendment is hanging by a thread (they should all ready know it) and that with a Bush Supreme Court the Emerson case could be BIG win for us.

As a reminder, I wouldn't mind voting third party this time if only there wasn't so much at stake. Without the Second Amendment, we haven't got squat! It is as simple as that.

Here is the URL for the Boortz web site. I don't have an e-mail contact yet.

This thread, and its title, serve no purpose other than to taunt a fellow member.

Not nice.
