The perfect compact

All year, I've been on a quest for my ideal compact pistol. I have gone a little overboard w/ the purchase of that Beretta 950 Jetfire 25 cal., but I'm glad I have it for special occassions
Now, I'm looking at officer size 1911's. My question is, compared to other guns of comparable size, how well does it shoot? My experience w/ 1911's is mostly w/ 5" & 6" models and I was just wondering how they compare.

I picked up a colt 1991 compact about 3 or 4 years ago, it will put 6 rounds into a pie plate at 50 yards with a rest, using 230 gr rn lazer cast bullets.

My winter carry is the Kimber Ultra Carry CDPII. If I wasn't so damn fat and had a loose t shirt I could carry it in the summer too.

If you want a compact big bore, by all means look at the Sig P239.

Available in 9MM,.357 Sig, and .40 *&*

Small, easy to shoot rapidly and accurately, as accurate as a rifle, and best of all of course, it's a Sig.

I didn't think I would like it...

but I tried out a Glock 26 (9mm) just so a friend would shut up.

One thing about these guns...you will love it, or hate it - NO in-between.

I plunked down the busks for it that same afternoon and haven't regretted it. Great 'summertine shorts and tee' carry weapon.
