The Outer Limits - "The Gun"

Yep, it was a pro RKBA show shockingly enough, I kept waiting for the anti BS to kick in, saw some things I would have changed but not much of matter, but it never happened. Even the final statement was pro RKBA and pointed out it's not the evil gun, it's the evil person. I still can't believe that they made a show like that. It makes me feel better about watching it.

Is this the showtime version, or was it on regular tv? I ask only because if it was on showtime, I might have a chance to catch it since it is a year behind on regular tv.

I have a Hard Drive Recorder (TiVo/RePlay) and I created a “Gun” Theme Channel, among others. The Theme Channel records any show, at any time, on any channel that matches the search requirements. My HDR has a 30-hour record capacity but new models soon to hit the market will have 60 and 120-hour capacity. The recorded shows are digital copies and can be stored on video tape.

The show stared Stacy Keech (sp) and I think the guy who played “Q” in one of the Startrek spin-offs. The main story line was an alien had come to earth to recruit humans, with the proper attitude, that would become “killing machines” for battling the alien’s enemies. The alien would “sell” the selected human a “special” gun (without a background check) and once the “gun” was fired it “bonded” itself to the human’s hand permanently.

Andrewh, I will review my VHS copy to verify which service carried this show and post it tomorrow.

I will keep an eye out for the next time that it comes on, if anyone is interested.
