The one that got away.

Seen that one before but it cracks me up every time. I find it hilarious that not only does he miss *badly* on the first shot, he misses even *far worse* on the second - he didn't use where he hit on the first shot, to make an adjustment to pull the 2nd shot in. The the 3rd shot, he misses in about the same spot as the first shot. LMAO. What kind of idgit hunts with a gun not sighted in? Or maybe I should give him a break - maybe he dropped it and moved the scope, or used crappy rings, or maybe just got buck fever and could hold his rifle on. You can hear him mutter a sigh under his breath at the end.

I hunt with a guy who has come to camp with his rifle only boresighted. Another year, he showed up with handloads he had never fired from his rifle that his dad had given him. Turns out his father was given some bad primers by a friend. The guy pumped 5 cartridges through his rifle at a deer because they all went "click."

If I ever missed like that and had it on tape the first thing I would do is burn that tape. How on earth would anyone let that get out. I bet he will never live that down.

Nice buck. Guess he'll have a heck of a story to tell about the one that got away. On second thought, maybe he wouldn't want to tell anybody about this one.
