Nead it and not have it.Was a reality check for a coworker .His wife called .Someone is trying to get in.His pistol was at home.Note we work midnights. I gave him my backup .It was my son inlaw.
 
Reality has a way of kicking in when you least expect it.

So, how did it all come out? Were the police called? Was the break-in thwarted? Perpetrators apprehended or at least identified?

What lessons were learned that could be shared here to make this thread of greatest value possible?

Everything worked out it was the SHERIFF DEPUTYS looking for a scumbag.They found him at daylight with the dogs :D YES MY DAUGHTER.

And never leave your home undefended?

A dog is an excellent early warning system.

Hardening exterior entry points.

Exterior lights.

Video system to observe approach paths.

Intercom system that the Sheriff could have used to reduce the alarm.

Just some random thoughts.
