WORLD PEA SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Held anually at the village of Whitcham, East England, the International Pea Shooting contest attracts contestants from all over the world. Participants aim dried peas at a soft round clay target. This year the 12-year-old winner collected his prize despite complaints about his use of a laser guidance system. We have great pictures of the contest including interviews with the winner and his competitors.

Is this a serious pea shooter or what? A laser guided pea shooter (sniper pea shooter?).

I'm sure this can't hold a candle to Bog Snorkeling, though.

God, these people are exciting!

Hey, the scope on that thing was taken off of a Super Scope Six! You know, that huge bazooka shaped thing that they made for the Super Nintendo in the days of yore?

Don't laugh, those arae illegal in California

You know, I hope we're not looking at our own future in that photo. It's way too late for the Brits to say molon labe. The horror...the horror.

I thought the Brits were serious geeks, but this beats all!
What would Winston Churchill say if he could see what boys his country's men have become. England is ripe for the taking - how about an invasion from the Swiss or the Boy Scouts(with their pellet guns)?

On the news today . If the new law passes British cops can download any computer on a premise searched with a legal warrant to be examined later . So if they are looking for one thing they may make a case over something you read or wrote 5 years ago . No poison fruit it would appear .
