I took the Mossberg 340-KC to the range after work yesterday,,,
I didn't have a whole lot of time so this was for a functionality check only.
Sitting at a bench with a rolled up blanket as a rest,,,
I hit 41 out of 50 twenty-ounce water bottles.
Then I put 5 rounds in a group measuring less than 2",,,
Don't smirk people because I'm old, half-blind, and bit shaky.
The ammunition I was using is some mil-surp Remington LRN,,,
I'll be using this as I purchased four 5,000 round cases,,,
Well, 2 of the cases I inherited with the Mossie rifle.
Those target sights really make it easy to aim,,,
The small aperture increases depth of field,,,
So I'm able to see the sights and target.
No one gives these older Mossberg rifles any love,,,
But I think I got very lucky and inherited another fine shooter.
