While looking around the internet to get more informatyon on the OICW I found some information about another new weapon is developing.
It is called the Objective Crew Served Weapon (OCSW) and will fire the 25mm round originally tested for the OICW but rejected in favor of the current 20mm round .on weight and recoil concerns. The 25mm and the 20mm round share the same technology
The OCSW will be operated by a two man "crew" and would ultimately replace the 5.56mm SAWS in Army and Marine rifle squads.
I don't have any weight and ballistic data as yet.
