The most ridiculous desert eagle I've ever seen

As of two days ago, this desert eagle sits in the display case at http://www.kesselrings.com (small-town north of seattle gun shop).

Matte black, with all sorts of weird silver trim, GOLD sights, GOLD trigger, and gold safety lever. I don't have a photo of it, but just for imagination purposes, try to think of the most outlandish gun a 1970s-era pimp would desire. That's this gun. Didn't notice its price, but it'll be high...

so the question is, do any of you know people who've BOUGHT one of these abominations? Why? WHO? UNDER WHAT CIRCUMSTANCES? It's just so ridiculous! :D :D :D :D

Magnum Research's lists approximately the same configuration as a factory finished option. You can see it in the lower left corner of the picture; if you have a printed catalogue there is a much larger version of that same photo. I don't know about the silver trim though.

I'm partial to the polished gold model, aka "Mustard Eagle". Now there's one fine looking shooting iron! I hadn't thought about the faux pearl grips, though. Just what the Mustard Eagle needs!

If you're gonna pimp, do it with style.

Nope. Had a '65 Impala SS. Factory original.

Miss it a lot. Traded it for a '69 Pontiac Bonneville wagon with the police package(Sheriff/Coroner car). Miss that, too. I'll see if I can scan in the Desert Eagle for all to make fun of here.
