Well, I made my gun shop rounds today looking for a deal on a Keltec P32 for pocket carry. I found new ones as low as $239 hard chromed without any haggling and I found a used blued one (used only for pocket lint & crud storage, absolutely no sign of shooting wear...) for $199.00 including an extra magazine, a KelTec pistol rug, the factory manual and one of those carry clips that attaches to the rear of the frame, looks like a knife clip and holds the gun at the top of the pocket.
I tried to bargain on it but they were rock bottom at $199. Well, I fondled it a little more and almost whipped out the checkbook but I froze... and handed it back. I just couldn't get excited about owning a Keltec P32.
I figure this was a good deal and it will no doubt vacate the display case soon considering the price, along with the extras and the absence of any real wear. However, after handling it and dry firing it I just couldn't get a feel for it. I may have passed up on a once in a lifetime deal on the best mouse gun available but I just couldn't do it. I still can't say exactly what caused me to pass on it. In all honesty I wasn't thrilled about the .32ACP caliber from the start. I know it beats nothing, but... I already have a NAA .22mag mini-revolver that goes where I go. Oh well, I guess it just wasn't meant to be.
FWIW, I looked at a Kahr MK9 that was ten thousand times harder to hand back across the counter. I have an e-mail in to Kahr inquiring as to whether or not they have a LE distributor in Georgia but no response after two days(Sent Thurs.in the early A.M.). I hope this is due to the holiday and not an example of their response to customers' e-mails in general...
