The Metro Arms Co 1911 Bobcut commander models

Metro Arms is a relatively new company in the Philippines. Their build quality is roughly on par with the other two major Philippine 1911 makers (Armscor/Rock Island, and Shooters Arms/S.A.M.), both of whom have been around for decades. Personally, I'd never pay $800 or more for a Metro Arms when I can buy Colts for that price.

The Bobcut got a great review in Combat Handguns, it sounds like the lead guy is a serious shooter and made an effort on quality above that of his competitors. Would be an article worth looking for.

My FiL has the full-sized Metro Arms 1911. It is a very nice pistol. The sights and trigger are excellent. It makes me sad because he paid less than I paid for my 1911, and his is nicer. :(

Aguila Blanca, not all Metro Arms are low end guns. The upper end guns have a much better fit and finish. Not premium but in between. I was surprised how tight mine was and the overall attention to detail. Once you get over the $800 range I agree there are better options but overall I'm satisfied with mine.

I have been eyeing the MAC bobtails (online, can't find one locally) and also the newer batches of the H&K USP Compact .45s in stainless that CDNN has for sale. The H&K is about $120 cheaper and I am starting to lean more and more towards it (I really like H&K pistols :D ).

I have a Early American classic Govt model. Its a great shooting pistol.
Now I might upset a few .But I have handled the bobtail Commander . It slide to frame fitting and smoothest when racking the slide . Is every bit as good as my 2007 DW CBOB I would like to shoot them side by side To see just how big of difference their is. If any
I have been told that these pistols are hand fitted at factory . I believe that.
If I could afford one . I'd have one. Get congress to raise my SSD to a livable amount and I will get one :D
