Hello to all and a Merry Christmas!
You read the title correctly, this is a FREE grips giveaway. I've always enjoyed the people I get to meet on the various forums and this is one way to say "Thanks!" to all for their help, ideas, and support.
I have checked this with the board leadership and they have graciously allowed me to do it, so here we go!
The grips shown in the pics below are made of Purpleheart and Bubinga, both African hardwoods. They will be mailed to the lucky winner at the end of the "contest" free of charge with no obligation whatsoever other than you providing me the address to send them to. "Gee, how do I get in on this?" you may be asking - well it's almost as simple as getting a full lip kiss from old Aunt JoAnne on your birthday, all you have to do is post in this thread saying something similar to "Count me in!" and you're in! I will also accept cryptic but effective things like "I like be in", "Me like grips, want in", and "pretty, shiny, me like". That's it! Since we're all a little busy on Christmas day, the drawing will be held on the day after Christmas (the 26th) and the winner will be posted here. The grips will be mailed out as soon as that person gets me the mailing address. It will give you something to look forward to after survival of the holday is confirmed.

Edit 20DEC08 - If we get over 300 entries, and it looks like we might, I will add a second set of government grips to the pot just to help a little tiny bit with the odds. Enjoy!
End of edit

As I said, this has been blessed by the powers that be on the board. they wanted me to post the following to confirm that point:

Okay, now for the pics of the prize!

As you can see from my poor attempt at photography, they are for a government or commander size frame.
Well that's it, let the contest begin, and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Allright! That's what I'm talkin' about. :D
I'll really try to get some better pics to post so you can see what they look like.

I don't think that "I'm be in da dohicky" was on the list of accepted entry verbage, but we'll let it slide. This time.:D
Man, if you guys are going to sign up this quick, I should have made this a one day thing. I'm going to have writers cramp getting all your names into a bag to draw from. I may have to enlist the kids to copy them all down while I eat some more cookies.
