I need an old hand gun. And I need suggestions on what to get, the prices of what you think, and why you think I should get it. Let's keep it under two hundred bucks, because gunse can be fixed if they suck. I'm thinkin 1950 on back, so yeah...

Let's keep it under two hundred bucks,

Good luck with that. If you said under $400, you may have a shot.

Cheap(er) guns would be CZ52, Nagant revolver, CZ82/83, some Makarovs...just off the top of my head.

TOKAREV, TOKAREV, TOKAREV! J&G Sales $199. i just cant see you finding anything cooler than a Tok for under $200. i have one and love it. theyre great guns.

Under $200? My suggestion would be to shop around (or save up some more cash). Hard telling what you'll find in that price range but you'll certainly be limited in you choices.

And, if you do find something under $200, it might not be worth "fixing." You might just be better off putting the money on a better gun to start with.

Old K-frame?

I came across a little Astra .22short for about $100, but couldn't figure out what I'd ever use it for.

You'll find it

First, try this post...

I like the goal. I once bought a S&W 22A pretty beat up but functional and a JC Higgins(?) 22 revolver in the same transaction for $75. I sold them the next day for $200 to finance another purchase. So that makes two examples in one.

Good luck to you. If it were me, I'd get a revolver. Less to go wrong. Plus a cool old .38 spl with some signs it has been carried would be pretty cool.

JP Sauer and Sohn western marshal single action revolver if one can be found should be in the 200 buck price range. I have one in a .357 that I inherited from my grandfather in 1992

Hi-point (Never had one though).

Charter Arms Explorer II. ALot of people hate them, but I own one, dad has one and after the "Breakin" haven't had any more jams than normal (El'cheapo .22 ammo)

Old S&W revolver. I see some for $175. All .38's most model 10's. But decent guns.

My local gun dealer has a fine S&W revolver he would sell to you for under $200. He keeps it on display. Of course the top strap is parted, the barrel is bulged and two of the chambers are broken because of shooting a round into an obstructed barrel.
