Like a lot of those lists of "the greatest", there is no standard. What is the criterion? Historical significance? Best for self defense? Best battle weapon? First in a historical line? Design or manufacturing breakthrough? Quantity made?

I saw the show, and it was entertaining. The criteria seemed to be historical signficance as it relates to how certain models have impacted and contributed to the evolution of handguns.
