The largest capacity genuine Glock magazines

I'm trying to buy some magazines for my AR9.

First of all, is it true that genuine Glock magazines are more reliable than those made by 3rd party manufacturers?

Secondly, what's the largest capacity genuine Glock magazines I can buy? I only find a 17-round in a local store. It seems that the 30 round ones are mainly made by other manufacturers like Magpul?

The Glock factory 31 round mags come with +2 extensions getting you to 33 rounds. I have a couple that I've had for years and they work perfectly. Price is reasonable.

They also make a 19 round magazine for the G19X. It's just a standard 17 round mag with a +2 extension from the factory.

Or you could just buy 17 round mags and add the +2 extensions.

MagPul makes a vareity of Glock magazines holding up to 35 rounds. I've used their 12, 15, 17, and 20 round mags and find them just as good. I have one 20 rounder that I picked up a while back, but I've never seen another. I'm guessing they stopped making that version.

I wouldn't trust any other brands. The Glock factory and MagPul's are cheap enough. I wouldn't trust the drum mags holding 50+ rounds either. Maybe as a range toy.

The main market I see for "'nanner clips" is in PCCs like the OP's. In USPSA I see a lot of 33 shot Glock and 27 shot Magpul magazines, many with extensions to 40 rounds.

Glock also makes a 24 round magazine.

A friend's AR9 won't feed reliably from factory Glock 33rnd magazines, but runs perfectly with the KRISS MagEx2 Kit, which yields a 40 round capacity (extending standard Glock 17rnd mags). Weird, right?

Glock 33 round is the largest factory mag I’ve seen. For what it’s worth I typically stick to glock factory mags but got my hands on a half dozen Magpul made glock mags for really cheap and they’ve seen a lot of use and never failed to function.

Many thanks to All for the super helpful information.

33 is the largest factory glock mag. Its technically a 31rnd mag witg a +2 base plate, so witness holes only go to 31. I have a couple they have never failed to feed

That drum kept falling out of my 17 after each round - it went back to Brownell's immediately. I'll still prefer the 32 round Glock (G-18 technically) mags; they work perfectly in my Ruger PCC

I have the 33 round one, but the spring is still pretty tight, so it only really holds 31 round. I don't use it in a pistol, bought it for my Sub 2K.
