My brain has been on overdrive since the 7.62x39 shot.
I absolutely despise hogs and what they do to landowners property.
But I also don't like to see anything suffer.
I went and watched some of my earlier videos setting up this gun.
What I "believe" happened. Is I zeroed the rifle when it was hot.
I've less than 30 shots down this pipe, meaning copper hasn't established an equilibrium yet.
That being said, I believe my cold bore zero is way off. Like maybe 4-8" off.
I'll get to test my theory this weekend.
Going to temperature the barrel
Send one shot down. Mark it.
Let it cool down to the same starting temperature. Take another shot. Mark it.
Then make adjustments as needed.
My first AR was a 7.62x39 and killed hog after hog after hog with the caliber.
At the distance I was shooting it was still delivering over 1600ft.lbf of energy at point of impact.
I'll get it ironed out. Stay tuned.
