Someone has probably already posted about this but I have seen so many discussions on this issue i felt that i needed to post my findings.

The point: Aimpro makes a heat shield for the 590a1 (yes, i mean the heavy walled, ghost-ring sight version) retails for about $56-$60.

If you are still thinking about getting a 590A1, you may want to look into what replacement barrels are available for the 20" model. Like none.
 
fair enough but no need to get aggressive/sarcastic about it ;)
I don't feel as though i would need additional barrels...
 
I didn't mean to be aggressive or sarcastic. If you don't any input form others, why do people ask for it? You want aggressive sarcasm? Where is Slugo?
 
I don't understand the reference to The "Holy Grail". You're talking about a 590a1, right? I'd say you have a strange religion. :)
 
Why would you need a heat shield - are you converting it to belt-feed?

If the bad guys aren't frightened away by the racking sound, they will surely soil themselves at the sight of the heat shield. :D
