Well I am throwing myself into the 350,000 to 450,000 people  expected at the annual Labor Day extravaganza. I almost don't want to go because there is so much that will tempt my wallet; you know the usual 'so many guns, accessories, and neato' things, so little money :( . So, anyone else around here going or ever been?

I've never been before, but my wife and I and 2 other fiends are heading down there on Saturday. The hotels were booked so far in advance, we had to get a room in Christiansburg and you probably know how far away that is.

[added] Oops, that was supposed to be "friends" not fiends, but it fits so I won't edit it. ;)

Afraid I can’t make to the show. If you’re going to be in the C-burg area maybe we can get together at the range in the National Forest. Just a few miles out of Blacksburg.

Try working part-time in a gun shop when you can buy a new gun @ $10 above cost and accessories @ 10% above cost.

Yeah man! I ain't missed that thing for the past 18 years. I'm originally from Floyd, so I basically grew up there. The bad thing is that there aren't as much guns up there as there used to be. So much of it now is antiques and junk! But there is usually a few private collections that people have for sale where you can get a good price!

Once you go out the back main exit of the VFW hall (looking at the stage, the exit on the right) look straight ahead and you will see a guy selling animal pelts (mink, fox, beaver, etc.) swing by and give him a hard time. His name is Craig and he's a serious pro-gunner. Never know, you might catch me up there!

Have fun and remember your golashes! :)

I just got back from there. Had to help my grandpa set up his space. He sells antiques and has been setting up there for 20+ years. It was raining when I left. There aren't as many guns there as there used to be but you do see some interesting pieces. Saw a buntline colt. Guy also had several SAA with intact boxes! Later, byerly
