The Government's next target?

We are not new to these surveys, but I have always taken them seriously. Not watching much TV, there are shows that I might watch but would never allow my kids to see, until they reach 30.
However, after they disarm those of us with guns that they can, they have to disarm, mentally, the rest. Doing both at once is just icing on the cake. Notice that the 'for the children' clause is planted firmly in there.

I figure they'll go for the TV & movie industry next. And no, just because that industry is an ally to them now, doesn't mean the gov't won't stab them in the back, too.

Fractured quote:"They made one promise; they promised to take our guns and they did."

IMHO, the entertainment industry shares responsibility, along with parental abdication of authority and the gov't "taking over" the parenting role, of inciting violence in our young people.

As nearly as I can tell, the entertainment industry pretty much has NO MORAL STANDARDS, and movies/TeeVee REPEATEDLY show gun killings with NO CONSEQUENCES, or where the shooter is actually REWARDED.

Now, we all know that today's teen wants to emulate their movie "heroes". Couple that with declining discipline and moral instruction in the home, and you have a recipe for... um... why, EXACTLY what's going on TODAY!

If we lose our RKBA, it'll be on the backs of "the children". Make no mistake about it.

I'm with Ed on this one, I think that next we will see lawsuits against the alcohol industry. You've got accidents, crime, abuse, health problems, save the children. Then the internet, bombs, porn, save the children, bla bla bla. It will go on and on, until the govt has control of EVERYTHING.

Unless we beat them now. I think that the gun industry can and will survive this attack.

Remember the Supreme Court ruling last week about the FDA regulating tobacco, the executive branch can't enforce laws that haven't been passed by congress.

Every corporation in America should be terrified by what is going on right now. The executive branch torching companies with out congressional approval, I hope that there is some back lash against these trends.

Herodotus...

Your hammer hit the nail on the head!

The propaganda campaign has already begun in earnest. Several "news magazine" shows have already started (CBS' 48 Hours II, had theirs just last night).

This is right out the the Global Elitist's play book. Better known as, "Problem-Reaction-Solution", of which they control all segments of the process.

The current process involves creating a problem in the internet. We've already seen that in a number of media forums, from the hackers who got into the major dotcom sites recently, to the latest scheme of illustrating how "hundreds of thousands" of sexual predators lurk for children in chat rooms. The incidents where a sexual predator is actually successful in meeting his young victim, will be exploited to no end, making gun crimes seem like tiddly winks.

The reaction will be the exploitation of parents asking why these types of things aren't "monitored". Speaking before Congressional Internet Investigative Committees, these parents will plead for our government's help (and some already have).

The solution of course will be the complete government take-over of our last means of free-speech, the Internet (a bill is already in Congress). This will no doubt begin slowly (just like gun control did), and then will slowly creep into all of our private lives, businesses, and communications, until nothing we type will go unnoticed. Nothing.

Extremists like those who believe in the 2nd Amendment who talk about their thoughts in forums like this will be targeted as enemies of the state.

Think it's not gonna happen? Too late.
