The Good, The Bad And The Ugly

Not the movie, laws about guns. In my mind, I divide gun laws into good ones (a small group), bad ones (much larger group of laws that are actually harmful) and the ugly (just plain stupid laws). I'll give an example or two, add on as you like.

Good: Second Amendment. Prohibition on possession by VIOLENT (not necessarily all) convicted felons. Shall-issue CCW.

Bad: Saturday night special laws (which prices self-defense out of the reach of those who need it most). Sullivan law in NY.

Ugly: 10 round mag limit (pointless since swapping mags is quick). Smart gun laws (how can you mandate something that does not exist?)
