They drop right in. I just happend to have a spare here since I have a Lewis
which uses the Becky lock. No Harold did not use a Becky Frizzen. He used one
that he bought at Friendship. The mould has been gone for a long time that was
used to cast them. At one time they cast a bunch that used the wrong type of
steel and they will not spark worth a darn. My Yazel had one of those . So
yesterday I tried a Thompson Center Frizzen which will work and spark well.
It did not fit the pan real well, but it sure sparked. Next I tried the Becky Frizzen
which fit perfect. Direct replacement. Boy do it spark. I'm sending the old Frizzen
out to a guy in California who is going to put a shoe on it so I will have a spare.
Just call Tim at RE Davis for a Becky Frizzen. I think they are about 12.00 Have
him heat treat it also as they come soft. Also the screw hole is not drilled. I
used a 9/64 drill and the Yazel Frizzen Spring screw fit perfect. Tim has Larry Zorn do his heat treating and he is one if not the best at this. So there is your
answer.
Here is the lock with the Becky Frizzen
