I just read that Cerberus is planning to sell the Freedom Group which owns Remington, Marlin, Bushmaster, Advanced Armament, DPMS, Dakota Arms and H&R. Wouldn't it be great if FN bought them and brought the same high manufacturing quality to the products of these brands as they have to 'Winchester' M70s? Or maybe some very motivated entrepreneurs like Ronald Coburn of Savage will buy individual brands and focus on manufacturing high quality and innovative products.
I'm trying to look on the bright side. My fear is another group of investors who would consider the company just another asset in their portfolio will buy The Freedom Group and all these great brands.
