The Four Rules ..... in Italian, Please!

Oh Great Hive Mind,

Is there anyone here fluent in Italian?

The various free online translators I have used are ...... inexact.

We have a foreign exchange student coming to stay with us, who has never been around firearms, but is eager to learn ...... her English is less than perfect .....

I teach my 4-H kids the mnemonic AlwaysNeverKeep&Know ......

So ....... can you translate this?

1. Always treat all guns as if they were loaded.
2. Never allow the muzzle to point at anything you don't want holes in.
3. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot.
4. Know your target and what is beyond it.

From an Italian cartridge collector friend:

1- Tratta sempre tutte le armi come se fossero cariche
2- Non permettere mai alla volata di essere rivolta verso qualcosa in cui tu non ci voglia dei buchi
3- Tieni il tuo dito lontano dal grilletto fino a che non sei pronto per sparare
4- Conosci il tuo bersaglio e cosa ci sta dietro
 
Jimbo, I hope you have a chance to update us on her reaction to "The Gun Culture" which a lot of Europeans think the U.S.A. has.

It would be very interesting (to me) to hear of her reaction. In my wife's country, only the police and very rich have guns. (Of course there are a few exceptions.)
 
I respectfully point out that your Rule #3 is incomplete. It should be

"3. Keep your finger off the trigger until the sights are on the target and you are ready to shoot."

I made that mistake at the range today - I haven't shot a handgun in quite a while, so I was practicing two handed as well as one-handed holds. While shooting with my weak hand, I was trying to get too many things right at once (stance, grip, sight picture, etc.) and pulled the trigger on accident. Because it was pointed down range, nothing bad happened (no one even noticed), but I felt really stupid. Thankfully, a little embarrassment was the worst.

What of wingshooting? There are no sights, as the gun is "pointed" to where the target will be, not aimed at where it is....... and there is a good chance thaout our Italian guest may join the Trap Team: they are recruiting, and she is not likely to take up Track and Field or Soccer. She needs a Spring Activity....

What of "point shooting" (not that I advocate it)? It works for some.

The four rules must be as simple as possible, and applicable to all firearms.

She speaks English ....... I just thought it might be nice to have it in English and Italian, and remove all doubt ...... and maybe have the Artsy Daughter do it up in calligraphy suitable for framing :D ......
