the Fair Lady and myself went to the range today, beautiful day BTW
spent 3 1/2 hours there
it was her first time ever shooting anything!
i have spent plenty of time over the last few weeks safety training with her
and she did a fine job
we started with my old 39M and she has short arms and had trouble with the draw length
but got over any fear of shooting it
then i ran a cylinder of +p defense threw her new .357 to see if it functioned properly
then moved to all the different reloads i had made up (oddly had a few primers that wouldnt pop even with a good solid hit several times)
but she really likes her new piece, she really loves shooting it (all single action)
i found the best load of the 8 or so i had made up was the 125gr tc fb over 5 gr of Unique set to 1.450 OAL
ill say that little snub really shots well. we both love shooting it
she really didnt like my semi auto very much, more recoil and she doesnt like the brass flying around
as for my 9mm loads well....
being real new to the reloading thing
i had started way low in charge and it showed
about midway through charge range the pistol started to cycle properly
and it seem to be more accurate as the charge went up
have to grind some data, then load up some more of the best candidates
all in all great fun
