    2. Copyright law provides for “fair use” of portions of a copyrighted work. You can copy no more than a SINGLE paragraph from the article to your post (3 or 4 sentences at most).

    3. You must provide a link to the article along with the name of website. For example: ww.xxx.yyy/zzz (The Lower Thumbsuck Daily News).

    4. You must provide, in your own words, a brief summary of the article AND your reasons for believing it will be of interest to TFL members. Failure to do so may result in the thread being closed or your post being deleted as a “cut and paste drive by.”

    5. Photographs and other images are also copyrighted. "Hotlinking" of images (so that it appears in your message) from other sites is also prohibited unless you own rights to the image. If you wish to share an image, provide a clickable link to it.

Posts that do not follow these new guidelines will be altered or deleted by staff. Members who continue to violate this policy may lose their posting privileges at TFL.

Ok first I know I can always choose to ignore these threads, but it's like a teacher who must educate a child that doesn't quite get it kinda thing for me.

Why are there so many threads here that only consist to bash anything that isn't a hand cannon? We all understand that some bullets are bigger and badder than others, but why does everything that isn't what YOU wanna carry useless?

Another thing, Why do we keep seeing the emergence of threads about bullets throwing people back and such silliness? I don't know if anything can be done about this besides just ignoring the posts, but lately all the Hogan's Alley section is are these types of threads.

Someone please make the hurting stop??? Is this really what we want new members to see is that we think only large caliber guns are good and that a .45 slug will throw a man over the grand canyon?

Well, I will go check today, but it seems to be the new gunners here going through their phases of "gunnyship". "What's the best pistol?", then onward and upward to "What's the best 9mm?", then "What's the best ultra compact two tone tactical 9mm?", then "What's the best holster for said ultra compact two tone tactical ...?" Then they graduate to "9mm vs .45 ... is bigger really better?", then "Did I get a good deal on my .45?" Then they really go for the technical stuff ... "How fast does a bullet travel?" and "How far can a bullet go?" Then they discover that the Model 1911 was not really invented in 1911 and someone mentions that John Moses Browning was the intellect behind the Browning 9mm AND the 1911 .45 ACP ... they go off and sulk for two days. Then they realize all the "caliber" designations are a complete unregulated mess from around the world, throughout history and that's the last straw. Finally they settle in L&P, actually go back to L&P, which is why they came here in the first place.

Then the next day we start over with John3276, LutherMKIV and Dick the Moderate.
