ok so the there deer season is coming to a close in febuary i have started to see deer. but only after sitting in the cold all day. and not seeing anything there a nice run padded down real well then there is about seven scrapes on the trail off the run but i dont see anything when i set my stand up there what am i possibly doing wrong now i dont even care about getting one rite now im trying to get my friend one before i even think about drawing back let me know thanks again

During the cold months the deer are honing in on food-bedding. Find the trails that lead to and from each and you may see some. The ruts over for most practical purposes so scrapes/rubs are leftovers from earlier in the season. Good luck..J.R.

Hunting a scrape this time of year is like waiting at the train station....after the train has left. Deer will be bunching up and working the rest of the winter on food. Not uncommon to see herds of 30-60 deer gleaning the fields.

yea i was talking about rut this was back in November, the last time i went hunting i slipped on a root hit my stomach pretty hard and had to get my appendix out. i wont be going again this season, so im just trying to plan my scout for next season
