The Ecoslug "Lead Free" Muzzle Loading Bullet

Here's another example of an innovative lead free muzzle loading bullet with sabot.
It has the same weight as a .490 lead round ball, is constructed with a steel base and an aluminum head, the steel base has petals that expand on impact, and it has been successfully used on hogs and deer.
It seems to have been developed as an alternative to solid copper bullets for use in California's lead-free zone.
The head has a threaded hole for easier removal from traditional muzzle loaders, with a threaded accessory included for that purpose if the need arises.
They claim 100% weight retention and its recommended use is within 100 yards.
The company website shows some photos of hunting results using it, and an expanded bullet that was recovered from the far side of a hog.
