"The District"

CBS premiered "The District" tonight, the story of a new police chief in DC. It only took them 48 minutes to start ranting about "the madness of guns in the country." Pure Ted Kennedy brain-dead Liberalism. This show is so far to the left that you can't see it unless you have exophoria. The other joke in the show is that the mayor of DC is _really_ an honest, hard-working man of the people that vicious conservatives are trying to destroy.

An unintentionally hillarious show. Watch it only of you want some laughs.

I watched it in two 40-second bursts. That was all I could handle. I didn't even see the references to guns; what I saw was crappy enough. I wouldn't worry about it. This show is doomed. It is the crappiest crap that ever was crapped out by CBS, and that's saying something.
Spend your time worrying about West Wing if you must. It's actually a well-written show and will stay on the air spreading its message. The District will be a faint memory soon.

Expect nothing but the Marxist Socialist ideological propagandistic pap from the communistnazi producers, writers, actors and directors in Hollywood, and you'll NEVER be disappointed.

Watched about one minute during the Oregon State-Washington game, just in time to see some British guy who apparently now was a D.C.police officer explain why he didn't shoot the suspect. "I only shoot things with hooves and horns." Spare me! Go work the East Capitol Hill neighborhood for a while.

What did you expect?

I KNEW it was going to be ridiculous thinly-veiled liberal propoganda, and sure enough. The main character keeps ranting about how he'll stop at nothing to make the city safe - "we're talking about people's lives, for God's sake!" blah, blah; when anyone and everyone knows there is ONE AND ONLY ONE THING that will make DC safe - repealing the handgun prohibitions and allow citizens to "legally" carry guns. Double duh. Fortunately, from the few minutes I saw of the show, it reeeeaaaaly stunk, and shouldn't last long.
