Sarah and Jim Brady are on some late-night CBS show I'm watching right now (I tuned in during the middle).
They're talking mostly about John Hinckley Jr. being allowed out, supposedly medicated and "safe-to-society," and the host is asking them how they feel about it.
You know what Sarah said? "What can WE do about it?"
What can we do about it.
She didn't say, "We're going to lead a crusade against people who shoot at others, and make sure they stay locked up until they die in prison."
She said there's nothing they can do about someone like Hinckley being allowed out after devastating numerous lives.
Why, then, does she feel so empowered to be able to push government to ban guns?
Moron.
Oh, now they just showed a promo spot for another spot, "If you were the victim of a violent attack, do you think you could forgive your attacker? You'll meet a woman who was attacked, and see a story of blah, blah, blah and forgiveness."
Are these CBS idiots trying to actually manipulate the public into being sympathetic to the idea of just FORGIVING violent criminals, as if that makes everything okay?!
Why is FORGIVENESS the buzzword now? What about PUNISHMENT?
The only question I want to hear is, "Azurefly, if you were the victim of a violent attack, do you think you could KILL your attacker?"
And my answer is, "YES."
