The Brady Campaign takes shots at a pro-gun Illinois state representative

The Brady Campaign is rapidly loosing support and relevance.
They can no longer claim that guns can be banned.
They can't pretend no one has a right to own a gun.
They cannot say that handguns aren't protected arms.

Their legislative clout is diminishing so they have to show their dwindling supporters they are doing something. Even if it's just a smear campaign.

They seem to be keying in on Illinois - the last red state when it comes to carrying.

Walsh is a U.S. Rep - not a State rep, but it does seem like the Brady Camp is focusing their energies on Illinois - maybe their last bastion.

I read Walsh's letters and also Hanigan's rant. I actually burst out laughing at what was clearly a purposefully willful twisting of words: Hanigan's invective looked childish and off the cuff compared to Walsh's reasoned and thoughtful letters. We need a bunch like Walsh at the state level to counterbalance the Chicago/Cook county crowd! I wrote to him, told him as much and thanked him for his support. Same with Costello who supports HB822.
