No not really, there are still rifles in the US inventory that say AR15 on them, none of them in use with the Marine Corps.
 
Actually there are a lot of M16A1s in the Army reserve components that started out life as Colt AR15s. Of course they have all been rebuilt sometime in the 60's as M16A1s and they are stamped as such. I have probably 50 of them in the vault at the armory. But the receivers are still commercially marked, just as Colts produeced them in the early 60s.

We have M16A2s here in Bosnia that are marked AR-15. I would be suprised to hear that the Marines don't have some that are marked the same way.

There aren't any in the active Marine Corps, I don't think there are any in the reserves either. We didn't purchase upgrade kits for the weapons we purchased new rifles.
