The acronym DVC says it all

Diligentia, Vis, Celeritas

Accuracy, Power, Speed

Hello. Got to wondering about that DVC acronym and dug this up. But no-one has explained on either thread where exactly does that come from?

First time I saw it was about 24/25 years ago, when Jeff Cooper used it, in the old Southwest Pistol League, and when he wrote a handguns column for "Guns & Ammo".

Were you aware of the "DVC" 1911 edition produced by Colt... in the mid 80s maybe. Was a limited edition run. Came in three different configurations. I never saw one personally though have pictures around somewhere of them. Hide site sure is 20/20... wish I'd gotten one now.
