The A Team(2010) Sidearm ?s; WARNING: SPOILER ALERT...

Hi
I saw an afternoon showing of the new A-Team film. It was exciting and had some great stunts, CGI-SFX and gunfights.
Many high tech firearms are used(and a old school stainless Ruger Mini-14 5.56mm that COL Smith shoots; a TV series shout-out ;)).
I have a question about CPT/LT Sosa's pistol. It looks like a Beretta PX4 Sub-Compact but in a close up scene, the muzzle looks a lot more like a .45acp than a .40 or 9mmNATO. Does BerettaUSA put out a .45acp PX4 Sub-Compact? I could see the Beretta Corp marketing or ad staff offering a few custom model PX4 pistols for the movie production but a regular production model or a .40/9mm PX4 sub-compact would make more sense.
A real M11 SIG P228/P229R frame like what real US Army CIDC & MI(intel) agents carry would be smart too but a covert ops officer like Sosa could carry a concealable pistol like the PX4 Storm under some conditions.
I saw a 9mm Beretta PX4 sub compact and this movie makes me want it more :).

Sorry I all but stopped spending my hard earned money on incredibly dumb anti-gun Hollywood movies several years ago.... spending $30 at the theater encourages the anti-gun industry and they keep putting out mindlessly boring films...

Off topic?...

Is that related to the sidearms used in The A Team?

Why can't members write new posts rather than hijack ? threads or topics that have NOTHING to do with the subject. :(

The guys who make up the A-Team are true Americans! They save innocent people who are getting a hard time from bad people. The A-Team should run for President, particularly Col. Smith or B.A.

No, the Px4 Storm Subcompact only comes in 9mm or .40 S&W. The full frame comes in those and .45 ACP, but not the little brother.

I like the feel ofthe Px4 lineup, but the safety is a bad design in my opinion.

PX4 C model, PX4 sub compact...

I agree with S's post, the slide mounted ambi safety is a drawback for the series. I bought a great PX4 Storm C 9mm in 2009. I looked into buying a D or C(constant action) for the sub compact model but I only saw the F model in .40 & 9x19mm. :(
The exposed hammer & ambi safety controls are not that great for deep concealment, IMO but for a 2nd gun/back up etc a PX4 sub compact in DA/SA with a exposed hammer could be a big help if the main full size PX4 goes down and you may be wounded or if due to illness you can't operate a DA only type pistol. I saw a PX4 sub compact for about $500.00. The new extra Beretta PX4 magazine offer runs to 08/31/2010 too ;).

I guess Biel(CPT Sosa) shot a real PX4 sub compact pistol better than the P229s or M9s like "real" MP or MI officers use. I honestly wouldn't see the big difference with the SIG models but a rogue CIA officer uses a SIG pistol so I guess the producers wanted her to use a unique sidearm.

Haven't seen this new movie but, I grew up watching
The A-Team. Always wondered why no one ever got
shot during the gun fights?
