The 870 Tactical

Anyone have any info or experience with these relatively new model shotty's? Are the only differences the green finish and the Speedfeed Stock with the pistol grip? Remington's got a $30 rebate on new 870 Express guns and I'm considering a second one. The HD model is, around here, $300, the new "tactical" green one is about $350.

Thanks

Yup. And the price. Still just a basic current production Express gun, dolled up a little.

If you know your 870s, look for a good used Wingmaster, Police trade-in or even a good older model Express gun (pre- magazine tube dimples and pre- plastic trigger plate). A little shopping around should save you $100 at least, and there's no telling what you might run across if you look on the used racks for a few weeks. My most recent Cinderella 870 was a 1976 vintage Wingmaster Magnum that I got for $150 out the door. Kinda rough outside but in great mechanical shape, and that's all that really matters.
