The 7.62x39mm

Hello,

All my rifles in 7.62x39 are semi-autos. And all have 16 in barrels. I am considering buying a used Rem 799 with a 22 in barrel(the owner said he had it rebarreled, but, for what reason he didn't say). What will I gain shooting it than my Autos, other than increased velosity??? Ammo that I habitually shoot with is Remington 123 gr, and occasionally Cor-Bon 150 gr hunting loads when hunting.

Thanks

Putting it in simple terms, you can expect tighter accuracy. A bolt gun is always a more stable platform, and thus inherently more accuracy potential is a result. If you'd like the long version of explanation on that, just say so. I'd be happy to detail it for you.
