That's it. I've had it. GOA is in; NRA is out!

This month's American Guardian has an article "Celebrating Ruger's Legacy", as well as giving Bill Ruger an honorary lifetime membership. This is like giving Judas an eternal place at the right hand of God. Ruger is a traitor among traitors, and I could tolerate NRA taking all his money somewhat quietly, but going out of their way to honor him after his actions in 1994 is too much. I will give all my RKBA money to GOA or some other org from now on. I will not revoke my life NRA membership, but I will start putting my resources where they will do the most good, and I'm afraid that is no longer the NRA. Death to Ruger and S&W!! And yes I know Ruger gives buttloads of money to NRA - but all the money in the world cannot make up for directly traitorial actions such as Ruger did.

With the money you save in membership dues going from NRA to GOA, you can also afford to support JPFO. ;)

As if you don't already, I presume.

Rick
Spend your money wisely.

Thanks for the great link. And I am propounding death to the companies mentioned above, not individuals bearing the namesakes.

Futo,
I did the exact opposite. I bought a life membership. I did it so I could vote the present losers out. Ted Nugent is OK by me. I want Neal Knox, Aaron Zelman or anybody with a similar approach on the board. I have finally succumbed to the idea that the NRA is our 800 lb gorilla, and so I might as well be able to participate in the elections. That of course doesn't stop me from also supporting JPFO.

Right on, kjm. If don't like the NRA change it. Just got my life membership as well. Viva la revoluccion!

Well, hey!!!

If yer gonna get all activist on me, you might as well have one of your group run for the board...using the internet and your local gun rights groups to support you.

That would peeve 'em no end.

Right Inu -since your still a life member you can do two fun things atleast.
A small one make sure your still getting your mag their not makn any real money off that chunk you sent earlier to become life.
#2-vote-vote for Neal Knox who continually works to expose the different ways the current leadership compromises and forgets to TELL the membership (after all who would dare question our great RKBA leader).
Also remember to vote for the new by laws
Knox was successful in getting on the ballot.
These new by laws will change things so that most of the new BOD members have to be elected by members from their states not just people from across the country whove
theyve been told in the mag. to vote for.
And if your really annoyed with them send
Neal KNox practically the least popular
BOD member alive 20 bucks to get his mailed alerts and to help him continue to be able to remain a thorn in Wayne the sell-outs side.
None of this comes as a surprise to me in fact its quite expected but its nice that it woke one more person up.
Im sorry that it wasnt their lobbying support for a host of gunlaws that Clinton wanted that didnt make you decide but
either way your headed further to the right it appears or
their support of 'gunfree schoolzones
support of the NICS registration system
move to enforce unconstitutional laws (
or who thinks they are constitutional).
IF you check JPFO out make sure you check out their brand new lobby CCOPS
concerned citizens opposed to police states www.ccops.org
and youd really love the mission statement of KABA www.keepandbeararms.org
the group responsible for the project exile
condemnation petition.
Welcome to the hardcore RKBA er's
where we dont think our rights should be on the menu EVER!!!!

Ruger 45, Most Excellent Post. I agree totally. Futo, most of the groups he mentions are "no compromise" groups and Neal could use a few bucks to keep up his work. Use your voting power to try and make a difference in the NRA.
