That Mossberg 340-KC is now all mine,,,

Several months back I made an offer on a 340-KC,,,
The owner accepted the offer but later backed out of the deal.

It belonged to my best friend who passed away back in January,,,
I was storing her guns until her brother could drive from California to get them.

Well last night he made it in to Oklahoma and came over to get them,,,
I again made him an offer on that rifle but he said no sale,,,
Right as he was leaving he handed the rifle to me.

"It's yours." he said,,,
Thanks for storing the others for me.

Turns out that's why he decided to back out of the first deal,,,
He knew how much I liked the rifle and decided to gift it to me instead.

It has these really nice adjustable peep sights.

The metal is in great condition,,,
The stock has only minor surface dings.

The only real flaw is the white spacer in the butt-plate is cracking badly,,,
That's something I can live with until I can repair it.

I be one happy puppy today.

My friend had a big bunch of guns,,,
Lots more than I have.

This was her favorite .22 rifle,,,
She was on her school's rifle team with it.

Her Brother already gave me her favorite pistol,,,
Again, I offered to buy it and he just said "You may have it."

It was the revolver her father bought for her 10th or 12th birthday,,,
She told the story as her Dad took her to the gun store,,,
He told her she could pick out any .22 she wanted,,,
She picked this one because "It was shiny."

4" nickel plated round butt.

So now I own her favorite handgun and her favorite rifle,,,
Two fine items to remember my friend with.
