Hi all, this is my 1st post to the BP section, but I've read a lot about the guns here. Just bought my first one a couple of days ago. Sportsmans Warehouse is going out here and they had a 51 fake navy by Pieta marked down and I couldn't stand it. I've wanted one for quite a while and it is a blast to shoot. Besides if the crazies keep shooting people like they are BP is the only thing we'll legally have before long. Anyway, thanks for all the tips and stickies that are on this site. John

No, it's a .44, but I'm not into being correct. At least not yet. I thought the price was reasonable, $176 taxes and all. I looked at the Army model and some others but this one pointed so well for me I had to have it. Seems like at this time caps and .454 balls are hard to come by here. But I had enough to get started. You can buy a mold and cast your own balls..... hope you can find caps tho

Dont forget to use shootin' glasses to protect the eyes, tends to be a fair bit of high speed crud around the back of Bp guns

Have fun, Welcome:D

The Sportsmanswarehouses are going out here too ......I didn`t buy any guns yet ......but I did stock up on cleaning patches and supplys at a good price .......and I bought their last case of caps ..:D

I had trouble finding caps too when I got mine. Ended up having to have a local gun shop order them. if it helps I have the same gun which called for #11 caps but those were too big for mine. #10 remingtons are a perfect fit on mine

Sometimes when I cant get size 11's, I have had to use these other caps called No. 1075 by a German company called "Dynamit Nobel" (in a little red plastic container with a green sticker). They are the same size as an 11, but a little longer. Only trouble I have had with them, is the odd FTF because the first strike of the hammer seats them properly, the second strike makes 'em go bang :o

They got me out of trouble a couple of times tho :D
