[Mosin-Marauder]

I plan on bringing my Mosin AND the 10/22 to the appleseed I'm attending this weekend as they recommend a center fire after 25 yards. I know I'm probably going against a lot of people's advice, and I apologise and I'm probably going to get a lot of hate for this. But I emailed the event planner and asked him if the instructors would help me with that rifle. I'm not going good to change any variables and only do what the Instructors tell me. I'll be using the same ammo. I'll take the cork out of the barrel channel so it won't heat up so quickly. I'm also going to shoot it at 25/50 yards today. I've also got a new point of aim I'm going to stick with, dotting the eye. Where I keep the bullseye over the front post. If the instructors don't approve of it. I won't take it. I've also been practicing a lot with my 10/22 and dry firing my 91/30 so my flinch is down. I've also adjusted my sling so I hold it steadier. The recoil pad I've installed also helps me shoot for greater durations. So just wanted to say thanks for all the advice I've got from you folks on the forums. It's greatly helped me and I appreciate it.

that's the best you could do. one on one instruction is the absolute best way to get better. all of the internet advice in the world is no match for personal instruction by someone who knows what they're doing.

Did you ever get those Tech Sights for the 10/22? They nearly cut my group sizes in half with my Marlin.

Just kidding, no I didn't get the tech sights I'm going to be taking optics and they're producing great groups at 25 yards so right now I'd like to keep the scope on.

Have fun at appleseed and keep with the Mosin. If there's a problem you have a back up rifle so don't worry. And if there isn't a problem you will know how to shoot the mosin better.
