Thank You Russ Feingold

Gun Grabber Russ Feingold(D) has failed at an attempt to censure Bush for tracking terrorists by phone wire! He won ZERO support and made himself look silly to boot! America knows better, and the dems just don't get it, still. Most of us see their silly attempts to make Bush look bad, I will say Bush needs to make many improvments though. And Russ, you just keep up the fine work your doing and we can vote a few more gun grabbing tax hikers out of power in November!

I must also mention:
Bush has only 133000 troops in Iraq, and look at how our troops have smashed depleted the financial and human resources of the Islamofacist terror machine. Pretty Impressive I say!!! God Bless our Troops!

I was agreeing with Feingold or at least giving him the benefit of the doubt up until he used the phrase "obeying our oaths of office". At that point he lost what little credibility that he generated.
Feingold...........oath of office........what an effin' hoot.

Feingold, that name is farmiliar.... he's a Wisconsinite... that's why... I've got a vote for who ever goes againt him in November.

Let me clarify the issues here. Yes. Feingold is an idiot on most subjects. However, Bush broke the law. It is possible to have two (or more) idiots in Washington at the same time.

Bob

Prove it in a court of law. He has not broken the law, that is just liberal and Bush haters baloney.

Jerry

It is a weak issue and the American people know Bush is not interested in spying on them. The liberals really don't have alot to throw at Bush, plus, they need and are getting much needed hype from the media, which is too bad.

That's what I and a lot of others want.

And I'm not a liberal. I'm a Goldwater brand Republican and have been all my life. But Bush is still an idiot, even if he calls himself a Republican.

Wiretapping without warrants, going to war without a declaration of war as described in our founding documents, the PATRIOT act, campaign finance reform restricting the first amendment, detaining people without charging them, allowing American troops to serve under the UN command, FEMA/National Guard gun confiscations in New Orleans, the No Child Left Behind that federalizes the schools system, New Freedom Initiative allowing drugs to be pushed on children, signing back on to UNESCO that Regan pulled us out of, more spending than all other presidents COMBINED, weapons sales to foreign enemies, insider trading and profiteering of wars and no-bid contracts with companies like Dyncorp that were caught running child/women sex slavery rings...and the list goes on.

Liberal idiots are no more dangerous than people who blindly support Bush because he has an (R) next to his name and is viewed as the lesser of two evils.

I swear if Bush got on TV and started eating babies there are some people that would defend him.

P.S. And yes, I hate the democrats too.

That may be. Can Russ and the liberals find a more constructive issue to work? Bush has done a good job at punching a hole thru terror, the white flag liberals like feingold, Feinstein, clinton,Kerry, all stand around and watch. I see these bozos cry for the plight of social injustice and a few wire taps, with not one single idea as how to crush terrorism.

Bush gets an F in my book for spending so darn much of our money. He has doubled spending on social programs that only enable more social problems, latest stats show we spent far more social programs than on our military.

Hollywood has informed us one very important social problem. It's hard for pimps to pay their rent.

Russ! How can we fix this?

Before this gets out of hand I'd like to remind everyone of Rich's new conduct enforcement policy. Don't get a "Clownie" award...you won't like it. Play nice.

I don't like GW. I don't like his NSA Wiretaps, their PATRIOT Act, "Conspiracy to" laws and much else. Yet, in the interests of BALANCE, I find myself often having to set the record straight. Then I get accused of being a Bush Koolaid Drinker.....go figure.

Into the breech:

Wiretapping without warrants
May well be a violation of Law. But I thought that's what the Courts were for. Have things changed? He's already "guilty"? On what facts? Source, please.

going to war without a declaration of war as described in our founding documents
Well, then, let's exhume and jail the bodies of Regan, Carter, Ford, Nixon, Johnson, Kennedy and so on. In the adjoining cell would be Clinton and Bush Sr.

campaign finance reform restricting the first amendment
Bush did that? Source please.

detaining people without charging them
Legal according to PATRIOT, which most on both sides signed onto. I don't like it; I don't believe it's Constitutional, but SCOTUS does; so it's hardly a criminal offense.

allowing American troops to serve under the UN command
Isn't that a tradition embraced and started by William Jefferson Clinton? When did Bush do it? Source, please?

FEMA/National Guard gun confiscations in New Orleans
I thought that was Ray Nagin? Democratic Mayor of NOLA. Source, please.

the No Child Left Behind that federalizes the schools system
Ummmm, are we exaggerating just a tad? The schools have been federalized since the 60's.

New Freedom Initiative allowing drugs to be pushed on children
My Twinkie filter is beeping. :)

more spending than all other presidents COMBINED
Bush AND the Republican controlled Congress' spending is scandalous, I agree. But to your actual claim: Source, please.

weapons sales to foreign enemies
You mean like North Korea? Again, that was William Jefferson Clinton.

insider trading and profiteering of wars and no-bid contracts with companies like Dyncorp that were caught running child/women sex slavery rings.
My Lord. Source demanded

Since when does another person/president doing something obfiscate responsibility from our current president?

"But CLINTON did it!!!" is getting old.

As for your DEMAND on the Dyncorp issue:

As a journalist, I'm afraid I have to judge DynCorp not on the spin of its CEO but on its record. Here are just a few of the reasons for serious concern about DynCorp forces operating on U.S. soil:

- DynCorp employees in Bosnia, where the company plays a major policing role, have engaged in organized sex-slave trading with girls as young as 12, and DynCorp's Bosnia site supervisor was filmed raping a woman. A subsequent lawsuit, filed by a company whistleblower, alleged that "employees and supervisors from DynCorp were engaging in perverse, illegal and inhumane behavior [and] were purchasing illegal weapons, women, forged passports and [participating in] other immoral acts."

The whisteblower, with whom DynCorp eventually settled, "witnessed coworkers and supervisors literally buying and selling women for their own personal enjoyment, and employees would brag about the various ages and talents of the individual slaves they had purchased." The company's initial response was to fire the whistleblowers.

The employees involved in the sex ring were transferred out of the country. Some were eventually fired, although none were ever criminally prosecuted. One of the whistleblowers told Congress, "DynCorp is the worst diplomat our country could ever want overseas.''

According to the Racketeer Influenced Corrupt Organization Act (RICO) lawsuit filed in Texas on behalf of the former DynCorp aircraft mechanic, "in the latter part of 1999 Johnston learned that employees and supervisors from DynCorp were engaging in perverse, illegal and inhumane behavior [and] were purchasing illegal weapons, women, forged passports and [participating in] other immoral acts. Johnston witnessed coworkers and supervisors literally buying and selling women for their own personal enjoyment, and employees would brag about the various ages and talents of the individual slaves they had purchased."

And here are numerous complete articles on the matter:

Sex-slave whistle-blowers vindicated: http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2002/08/06/dyncorp/

DynCorp Disgrace: http://www.stewwebb.com/DynCorp Disgrace.html

Middle-aged men having sex with 12- to 15-year-olds was too much for Ben Johnston, a hulking 6-foot-5-inch Texan, and more than a year ago he blew the whistle on his employer, DynCorp, a U.S. contracting company doing business in Bosnia.

You can also find video of Rumsfeld getting confronted about this here: http://www.infowars.com/articles/us/mckinney_grills_rumsfeld.htm

And certainly can do a Google search and find hundreds more articles as well as the full text of the public documents.

Have I met your demands yet?

The truth is scary isn't it.

Have I met your demands yet?
Dude, you haven't even begun. Just to set the record straight, though, am I to understand that you also believe Clinton was a Criminal? Now, I don't ask this in order to exonerate Bush. I ask it in order to understand where you're coming from. I mean, "everyone" knows Bill and Hillary had Vince Foster assassinated, that he was indoctrinated by the Russians during his Rhodes Scholar days and that he's been an agent of the UAE for years, right? He was a big criminal, too, yes?

DynCorp: Where's the source on "insider trading and profiteering of wars and no-bid contracts with companies like Dyncorp"? Not just quotes. Sources.

Once you're done with that, please provide the other sources I requested. After all, you're the one making these sweeping allegations. Credibility demands that you back them up. Someone's credibility is at stake...and it ain't mine. ;)

Notice how fast this whole censure thing is fading? Russ and the dems have got to listen to the people. The all republican white house has no balance anymore. I'll admitt I liked the all republican idea at first, but have since learned otherwise.

Our country is spiraling into financial catastrophe and neither side seems to notice.

DynCorp: Where's the source on "insider trading and profiteering of wars and no-bid contracts with companies like Dyncorp"? Not just quotes. Sources.

Umm...would you like me to have the people involved come post on this forum or what? The fact that Dyncorp was involved in the sex trade is a matter of public record, I pointed you towards articles and even a video of a congresswoman stating that fact. Not sure what you were looking for.

And you weren't aware of all the no-bid contracts that Haliburton and others have gotten making this administration millions? It's only in the news almost everyday. Hell, it's admitted that Rumsfeld is looking at almost 5 million from his Tamiflu deal. Carlyle group anyone?

Bush's incredible spending that rivaled all other presidents combined was even on national news networks. I guess they're crazy because they do math. You can search that on Google and get the results on page one: http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewNation.asp?Page=\Nation\archive\200511/NAT20051104b.html

I responded to your demands and posted relevant links and I get "tinfoil" and "twinkie" remarks.

No you're all right, I love Bush, I believe him to be the Lord. :barf: :barf: :barf:

And you weren't aware of all the no-bid contracts that Haliburton and others have gotten making this administration millions?
Yes, I'm aware of sole source contracts in all areas of government bid. But where is the SOURCE INFO for the "administration millions". That's been my question (on this allegation) from jump.

Attacking my simple queries (for Source Please) gains you no credibility, Repub. Pretending I'm asking for outlandish first hand testimony gets you no debating points. You've stepped out into the harsh spotlight and spewed nearly a dozen accusations as "fact". Should be simple to back 'em up....after all, you're the one that reached those conclusions. I just want us to know what you evidently do.

Provide your sources for the allegations that I've challenged or begone from this particular debate. The breeze you're feeling is not tropical. You have body parts hanging out. ;)

going to war without a declaration of war as described in our founding documents

There is no requirement to declare war to use military force in our founding documents. You don't even have to take my word for it, you can rely on the actual actions of the Founding Fathers who used military force in undeclared wars in 1798 (Quasi-War with France), First Barbary War (1801 - i.e. "to the shores of Tripoli"), and Second Barbary War (1815).

In fact, avid anti-federalist Thomas Jefferson ordered the military action in the first Barbary War. These aren't exceptions either - the United States used undeclared war about as often in the 19th century as it did in the 20th century (you can even make an argument it was used much more often depending on how you view engagements in Central and South America as well as the Indian wars).

And you weren't aware of all the no-bid contracts that Haliburton and others have gotten making this administration millions?

You say that as if there were a host of other companies that have the ability to provide logistical support for the entire U.S. military effort in the Middle East who were denied an opportunity to bid. Exactly what companies have the same capability as Haliburton and lost a chance to offer their services?

Uhh, just though I'd point this out, but Feingold isn't the worst gun grabber out there.

Wikipedia

Feingold has a mixed record on gun rights and gun control issues, sometimes voting in favor of gun control legislation, while at other times voting to expand gun rights. In 2004, he was one of only six Democrats in the Senate to vote against reauthorizing the federal assault weapons ban. In 2002, he voted in favor of allowing airline pilots to carry firearms in cockpits. He has spoken out in support of the interpretation that the Second Amendment pertains to an individual right to own firearms, and in opposition to proposals for handgun bans and mandatory firearms registration. On the other hand, he has consistently voted in favor of bills to require background checks for firearms purchases at gun shows, and to require that handguns be sold with trigger locks.
