TFLers! Unite!

Okay, folks. We let the forum policies slip during the actual debates over the
candidates and the issues related to the elections.

Whether we like it or not, our part in the elections is over.
(I’m as upset and nervous about it all as are any of you! :) )

However, it is now time to return to “business as usual”.

Here are the Forum Policies:
http://www.thefiringline.com/Misc/Policy.html

They are once more in effect.

If you have ANY doubt as to policies, read them.
If doubt remains, e-mail me. I should be able to reply within 24 hours.

We shall restore calm, civil discussion of appropriate topics, in appropriate
language as we all promised when we became Members. I’m sure the vast
majority of members will be relieved.

The bottom line for those few who have a problem discussing subjects
related to firearms and civil rights - take it to e-mail.

For the very, very few who seem intent in opposing the policies you agreed
upon when you joined, you will be civil or be gone.

If that’s not adequately clear, my e-mail is available.

Dennis is right.
We are still taking the higher road.

(It is also are fervant wish presidential candidates would do the same.)

Maintain Calm. Vent in MS WORD... Vent however you like... Get it all out. Then edit that vent and cut and paste if you like.
Lets go a little Norman Rockwell here for a moment:
I like to think TFL a family... (old Dennis as Gramps...) So when the family is all gathered, we clean up are language, and sit up straight... because Gramps has that wooden spoon behind his back!

{Why do I have the sudden urge to say, "Good night, John Boy!" ?? :D }

All,

Lookin' better, folks! Thanks for your support! We appreciate it when you put threads in the proper forum and avoid thread veer.

Folks,

I'd appreciate it if y'all would spread the word that the Legal and Political Forum is the place for, um, well, legal and political threads.

Round table discussions range from the Bill of Rights, to concealed carry, to general political issues.

This includes the election, ya see. ;)

It also includes all the legal/law-related threads.

As always, we thank you for your support.

I enjoyed the break, but it's good to be back. :)

What if we meant to follow the rules, but were confused by the way the rules were listed, and accidentally violated the rules? Do we get a do-over? And, how do we define "rules"? Which definition is legally binding? Is there any controlling legal authority for one or another? Do we have to Beijing's guidance on this?

:) Ain't I a stinker?

In order:

If an infraction is caused by a reasonable confusion, we’ll straighten it out on
your post, in the thread and/or by e-mail. However, if it is caused by an
inability to use something as simple as a butterfly ballot, we take away your
keyboard. ;)

Rules are the Forum Policies (with which you are familiar, of course),
additional guidance provided by the description of the forums and final
guidance provided by authorized cluebat wielders.

If the Forum Policies are regarded as unclear or inappropriate, again, we take
away your keyboard.

The controlling authority is Marshal Rich and his appointed posse of deputies.

And Buzz, we don’t “get” authority from China - they get their authority from
US!

As to Members’ body odor (?stinker?), we believe, “If you can’t say
something nice, say it by e-mail.” ;)

PS. Wait for my e-mail.

ROTFLMAO!

And Dennis, you are right. I'm quite familiar with the rules. Let's just say I review them constantly just to be up on the latest. And I ponder them every time I hit the send button.
