    3. You must provide a link to the article along with the name of website. For example: ww.xxx.yyy/zzz (The Lower Thumbsuck Daily News).

    4. You must provide, in your own words, a brief summary of the article AND your reasons for believing it will be of interest to TFL members. Failure to do so may result in the thread being closed or your post being deleted as a “cut and paste drive by.”

    5. Photographs and other images are also copyrighted. "Hotlinking" of images (so that it appears in your message) from other sites is also prohibited unless you own rights to the image. If you wish to share an image, provide a clickable link to it.

TFL down for 2 days or so?

Am I the only one who is just now (4/5/02 at 11:30pm) able to access TFL?
Was the site accessible to anyone else during that time?
If not, what happened?
Just curious.

Down from approx. 2:00am Thurs pst till this evening. Got so excited when tfl was reinstored that I must have botched the re-registration. Lost original ID. Also noticed lack of official explanation from tfl. Made me feel that I was experiencing a singular event.

Yesterday, TFL was gone from any DNS records, so it might have been a DNS problem in the end. Your comment, Rich?

Rich hasn't been to the Staff lounge either, from what I can tell. He may no be online right now, which would explain why there was such a delay coming back, too.

In other words, I haven't talked to anybody who knows what happened, when, or why. Does that help?

:D

I kinda figgured it was the bandwidth problem fixer thingie that Rich talked about on the first.

Preventive maint ?

Downtime seemed to be bout as predicted by the boss.

C.R. Sam-

Oh, right, the thing that he posted about?
Could be.
Chalk another one up to the sometimes irritating density of my skull and it's effect on my intellingence...

Sam, enlightenmentation might be off hunting in Africa or just seeing if we kids can play nicely all on our own. :D

Hank is being exceptionally ESPish tonight. Wrong continent, but the concept is correct.

I wouldn't be too surprised if Rich doesn't yet know of the outage or, if he did learn of it, the final fix for it.

I've landed at the wrong airport, in the wrong country.......but never got the continent wrong.

Good trick Hank.

"Been on the road hunting for a week. Downloaded 400 emails at the airport and am going thru them at 11,000 ft over E. TX. Will send all at Louisiana fuel stop but can do nothing until tonight.
Rich"

The Man is on his way! I told him that all of you guys got it fixed!
I'll bet that the throttle stops are bent. :D

Don't Pay The Ransom!!!!

I'm back!!

I've been off to Thunder Ranch for Team Tactics with partner Denny Hansen and hog hunting with Ashley. Denny and I seemed to work so well together that I'm considering a marriage proposal! :D

Had very limited cell contact and no computer hookup.....therefore, I share neither blame nor credit for the problem or resolution. I, too, suspect DNS problems. Temporary.

Sam,

Does that mean you've always been "in continent"? :D
